Exercise for the mind and body

I have been itching to write for some time now... there are a lot of thoughts running through my head on things I could write (or rant). Some of them insightful while some might raise a lot of eyebrows if I were to share them in public. So I'm reviving this blog and let's see if I can keep this up again.

I should always exercise. I notice that when I do in the mornings, it keeps me lively and happy during the rest of the day. Household chores are easily done too. And it relieves my back pain. Unfortunately, I don't have that strong self-control to train myself to do just that. Especially since I'm hooked on some mobile games. But the worship service lesson taught last Wednesday really motivated me a lot.

The verse 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 states that "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. ²⁵ Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever."And since some of my motivations to be healthier is those joining the American Ninja Warrior, I can very well relate to the athlete analogy.

And so I started Thursday doing exercises. I still don't have a regular set of exercises but will slowly get there. And hopefully, I can maintain doing the exercises regularly as well blogging.

I will not abandon you

The Lord has made a solemn promise, and He will not abandon you, for He has decided to make you His own people.

Always Praise the Lord

I will always praise the Lord no matter what happens and I will never stop praising Him..I prayed to the Lord, and He answered me; He freed me from all my fears.

Being Wise vs Being Strong

Being wise is better than being strong; yes, knowledge is more important than strength. After all, you must make careful plans before you fight a battle, and the more good advice you get, the more likely you are to win.

The Narrow Road

¹³ “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. ¹⁴ But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

That's why even if there are a lot of Christian churches, only few finds the true church. I just hope that my love ones will be called in the fold.

Trust in the Lord

Never worry

The Father

I'm afraid to do something I know that is against His will. It doesn't mean that I dont transgress, I have my weaknesses, but I dont intentionally do it. And I hope that He'll forgive me and hear my prayers

Prayer

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

They say that the eyes are the mirrors of the soul. I thought it was just a saying until I heard this verse.

Though of course, I don't believe it. I only believe in what the Bible states in Matthew 24:36.

Wicked people and gossipers

What are worthless and wicked people like? They are constant liars, signaling their deceit with a wink of the eye, a nudge of the foot, or the wiggle of fingers. Their perverted hearts plot evil, and they constantly stir up trouble. But they will be destroyed suddenly, broken in an instant beyond all hope of healing.

Proverbs 6:12-15

I heard this verse last Thursday's worship service and I was amazed at how the Bible accurately describes gossipers

God Answers

Isaiah 55:8
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.
“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine."

Somehow, this verse reminds me of this quote:

GOD answers prayer in 3 ways :
HE says YES & gives you what you want.
HE says NO and gives you BETTER.
HE says WAIT & gives you the BEST EVER

I've heard this verse on Thursday's worship service and I really like it, though I like the translation used in the service better.
